There is nothing extra to sign up for. Your VertigoMe account is also your community account, and the community is built into the app.
Opening it
- Look at the top of the main screens (Home, Monitor, Insights, Log or Journal).
- In the top-right corner, tap the icon of people standing together.
A small number on the icon means there is something new for you. It clears once you have looked.
The first time, you are asked to confirm that you are an adult. Tap I am 18 or over to go in, or Not now to leave.
The four tabs
- Practitioners: people who can support you professionally, including sharing the data you choose with them.
- Articles: short summaries of vertigo and dizziness news and research from trusted sources, each with a link to the original.
- Forum: posts from other people living with vertigo. Read, react, reply and write your own.
- Blogs: longer reads.
The community opens on the Forum tab.
Your first visit
Have a read. Nothing is shared until you write a post or a reply. Tap a post to open it, and use the back arrow to return.
When you are ready, tap the round + button on the Forum tab to start a New discussion. Give it a Title and a Body, then tap Post.
What others see about you
When you post or reply, others see your display name and your profile picture (or a coloured circle with your initial). They do not see your email, your spin data or anything else from your account.
Leaving
Tap the back arrow at any time. You do not have to write anything.
