Replying to other people

You can answer a specific reply, not just add a new one at the bottom. Your answer then sits right under theirs, so others can follow the conversation.

Sending a reply to someone

  1. Open the post in the Forum tab.
  2. Find the reply you want to answer. Next to the person's name, tap the small reply arrow.
  3. A banner near the bottom says Replying to and their name.
  4. Type in the box and tap the send icon.

Changing your mind

Tap Cancel on the Replying to banner. Anything you type then becomes a normal reply to the post.

What replies look like

Answers sit under the reply they answer. They only go one level deep: you can answer a reply, but answers do not have their own reply arrow. To continue a thread, answer the reply above it, or mention the person's name.

What others see

Your display name, your picture (or initial) and your text. Not your email, your spins or any other data.

Deleting

Tap the bin next to your own reply.

If you see something unkind

Next to other people's replies there is a small flag. Tap it to report the reply to the VertigoMe team. You can also choose to block the person, which hides everything they post for you. They are not told who reported them.

A small kindness

If someone is having a rough day, a short, warm reply means a lot. "I have been there too" is sometimes enough.
