Do not worry if you do not know your exact cycle length. Most people do not. 28 days is the starting value, and you can change it at any time.
These settings let VertigoMe predict your next period, so it can add extra risk on the days around it. Some people, especially those with vestibular migraine, notice their symptoms cluster around their period.
Where to find the settings
The cycle settings open from the Menstruation card on the Monitor tab.
- Tap the Monitor tab.
- Tap the Menstruation card ("Tap to set up cycle tracking" the first time).
If you do not see the card, tap the gear icon, Data and Notifications, open Menstruation and switch it on.
The Cycle Settings card
- Last Period Start Date. Tap Select date and pick the first day of your most recent period.
- Average Cycle Length. The days from the start of one period to the start of the next. Typical is 21 to 35 days. You can enter 15 to 60. If unsure, leave 28.
- Average Period Length. How many days you usually bleed, from 2 to 15. The default is 5.
- Auto-update Average ("Recalculate from logged periods"). Leave this on so the average improves as you log periods.
- Predict ovulation (optional). "Adds a smaller risk bump around mid-cycle." When on, set the Ovulation day, counted from day 1 of your period. The default is 14.
- Tap Save Settings.
What changes when you save
The top of the screen shows:
- Next Period, a countdown like "In 12 days", "Tomorrow" or "Today".
- Last Period, the date you set.
- Predicted, the expected start of your next period.
- Ovulation, if you turned that on.
- Cycle, your cycle length in days.
The Menstruation card on Monitor shows your next period, a countdown and your average cycle. Your risk gauge on Home starts including your cycle, so it may rise in the days just before your predicted period.
Changing it later
Come back to the same screen at any time, change the values and tap Save Settings.
