If you measure your blood pressure with a cuff from Omron, Withings, Qardio or another brand, VertigoMe can read the readings. It does not connect to the cuff directly. The cuff's own app saves readings to Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, and VertigoMe reads them from there.
Step 1: Make sure your cuff's app shares blood pressure
Open the cuff's app (for example Omron Connect, Withings Health Mate or Qardio). In its settings, find Apple Health or Health Connect and turn on sharing for Blood Pressure.
Step 2: Connect VertigoMe
On iPhone:
- Open VertigoMe.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen. A drawer slides in from the left.
- Tap Connections.
- Find the Apple Health card at the top and tap Connect. If it already says Connected, skip ahead.
- A short VertigoMe note explains what will be read. Tap Continue.
- Apple's permission sheet slides up. Tap Turn On All, then Allow.
Make sure Blood Pressure (systolic and diastolic) is on.
On Android:
- Open VertigoMe.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen. A drawer slides in from the left.
- Tap Connections.
- Find the Health Connect card at the top and tap Connect. If it already says Connected, skip ahead.
- A short VertigoMe note explains what will be read. Tap Continue.
- The Health Connect permission screen appears. Tap Allow all, then Allow.
Make sure Blood pressure is allowed.
Step 3: See your readings
Blood pressure is listed as Blood Pressure with your other body readings in Physical Health.
- Tap the Monitor tab.
- Tap the Physical Health card to open it.
- Tap Customize Physical Health at the top to choose which metrics the card shows.
Why it can be useful
Blood pressure changes and some blood pressure medicines can affect how steady you feel, especially when you stand up. Having your readings next to your spins can make a conversation with your doctor easier. VertigoMe does not judge whether a reading is healthy. If your readings worry you, speak to your GP.
