Some people, especially those with Meniere's disease, notice a feeling of fullness or pressure in one ear, louder tinnitus or a dip in hearing before a spin. VertigoMe can use these signs to raise your risk score, so the warning comes when it is most useful.
How it works
- Log the sign as a prodrome when you notice it: Quick Log, Prodrome, then pick Ear fullness, Aural pressure, Tinnitus louder or Hearing change, and tap Log Prodrome.
- Each prodrome has a strength (None, Low, Mild or High). The stronger it is set, the more it adds to your risk score. A sign logged today counts more than one from several days ago.
- Your Risk today gauge on Home goes up, and the sign can appear in Top contributors (Premium).
Setting the strength
- Tap the gear icon, then Manage Items, then Prodromes.
- Tap the sign and set its Prediction value.
If ear fullness almost always comes before your spins, setting it to High makes the gauge take it seriously. If it comes and goes without a spin, a lower value fits better.
Seeing whether it really comes first
After a few weeks of logging, open Insights, What Happened (Premium). If a sign keeps turning up before your spins, it shows there, with how many days before.
When to see your ENT or audiologist
Tell your ENT or audiologist about any new fullness, tinnitus or hearing change. See a doctor urgently if you have sudden hearing loss in one ear. It needs prompt assessment, ideally within a day or two.
