Ear symptoms often come with vestibular conditions, especially Meniere's disease. VertigoMe lets you log them during a spin, as early warning signs before one, and as lingering symptoms afterwards.
During a spin
In Log Spin (on the Log tab), the Symptoms step has an Aural group:
- Tinnitus louder. Tapping it opens a short sheet asking which ear, what it sounded like and how long it lasted. See "The tinnitus detail sheet".
- Ear fullness.
The same symptoms are in Quick Log, Spin, under Symptoms (optional).
Before a spin: early warning signs
Many people notice ear changes in the hours before a spin. Log these as prodromes, in the Prodromes step of Log Spin or from Quick Log, Prodrome:
- Ear fullness
- Aural pressure
- Tinnitus louder
- Hearing change
- Sensitivity to sound
Prodromes count towards your risk score, so logging them helps the gauge warn you.
After a spin
In the Postdrome step of Log Spin, and on the evening check-in while a spin is still open, you can log Ear fullness (after) and Sound sensitivity lingering.
Adding your own
If your symptom is not listed, add it under the gear icon, Manage Items, then Spins for symptoms or Prodromes for warning signs.
Over time
Your logs feed Insights, the Full Report PDF and your practitioner's view if you share with one. For a scored picture of how your hearing affects daily life, there is also the Hearing Handicap Inventory under Profile, Questionnaires.
