If you wear a Garmin watch, you can install VertigoMe on it to see your spin risk and log a spin from your wrist. It works with both iPhone and Android phones.
This guide covers installing. Linking the watch to your account comes next, in Pairing your Garmin watch with the 6-digit code.
The watch app is separate from connecting your Garmin health data. You can do either, or both. See How to connect a Garmin watch for the health data.
What you need
- Your Garmin watch.
- The Garmin Connect app on your phone, signed in.
- The Connect IQ Store app on your phone. This is Garmin's app for adding apps to your watch.
- VertigoMe installed and signed in on your phone.
- Bluetooth on, with the watch and phone close together.
Install from the Connect IQ Store
The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.
- Open the Connect IQ Store app.
- Tap the search icon.
- Type VertigoMe.
- Tap the VertigoMe result.
- Tap Install and pick your watch.
- Wait while the app transfers over Bluetooth. This can take a few minutes.
Open it on the watch
- Open the apps list on your watch.
- Scroll to VertigoMe and select it.
- The first time, you see a welcome screen that says it works with the VertigoMe iPhone and Android app, with a Pair button. That is expected.
Next step
Tap Pair on the watch. It shows a 6-digit code, which you type into VertigoMe on your phone. The full steps are in Pairing your Garmin watch with the 6-digit code.
If something goes wrong
- If the install stalls, close the Connect IQ Store app, open it again and tap Install once more.
- If VertigoMe does not appear on the watch, open Garmin Connect on your phone and let the watch sync.
- If your watch is not offered, it may not be supported. Write to help@vertigome.com with your model.
