Every body is different. The amount of salt that matters for one person may be an ordinary day for another. VertigoMe ships with default numbers, and you can change them per trigger.
What you can adjust
Automatic triggers that measure something (sodium in milligrams, hours of sleep, air pressure and so on) have a threshold: the line VertigoMe uses to decide whether a value is high or low.
The threshold is shown in plain words: Fires above for high triggers and Fires below for low ones, with a number and unit.
Triggers you log by hand, such as Head turn sudden or Strong smell, have no threshold.
Step by step
The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen.
- Tap Manage Items, then Triggers.
- Open the category card and find the trigger, or use the search box.
- Tap the row to open it. Make sure Auto-detect is On. The threshold line only shows when it is on.
- Tap the number next to Fires above or Fires below and type a new value. Decimals are fine, for example 6.5 hours.
- Temperature and altitude triggers have a small unit switch next to the number (°C or °F, m or ft). Changing it changes the unit across the whole app.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Save & Recalculate.
When the change applies
As soon as you tap Save & Recalculate, VertigoMe checks the last 7 days again with your new number and recalculates your risk score. The hourly check uses the new number from then on.
If saving fails
- Check your internet connection.
- Tap Save & Recalculate again.
- If it still fails, close the screen and open it again. Your last successful save is still in place.
