Language and units of measure

Language

VertigoMe is available in seven languages: English, Deutsch (German), Español (Spanish), Nederlands (Dutch), Français (French), Italiano (Italian) and Português (Portuguese).

When you first install VertigoMe, it opens in your phone's language if it is one of these seven, and in English otherwise. After that it keeps your choice.

Changing the language

This is the same on iPhone and Android.

  1. Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen.
  2. Tap Language.
  3. Tap the language you want. Each one is shown with its flag.
  4. The app changes straight away.

There is also a language picker on the sign-in screen, so you can switch before you sign in.

Changing the language never touches your data. Only the words on screen change.

If your language is not in the list, you can still write to help@vertigome.com in your own language.

Units of measure

VertigoMe can show temperature in °C or °F, and altitude in metres or feet. The two are separate, so you can mix them.

On first use, the app picks the units that match your phone's region. To change them:

  1. Tap the gear icon, then Manage Items, then Triggers.
  2. Open the Environment card and tap a temperature or altitude trigger, for example Temperature high or Altitude high.
  3. Make sure Auto-detect is on. Next to the threshold number is a small °C / °F or m / ft switch.
  4. Tap the unit you prefer.

That one tap changes the unit across the whole app: weather cards, graphs and history.

If a number looks wrong

Some apps that send data to VertigoMe, such as your wearable's app, have their own unit settings. Check those first. If VertigoMe itself shows a unit you did not expect, flip the switch above or write to help@vertigome.com.
