Reliefs are the things that help once a spin has started. Lying still with your head fixed, a dark quiet room, slow breathing, a ginger tea. VertigoMe comes with a list, and you can add your own and remove ones you never use. Past spins are never changed.
These steps are the same on iPhone and Android.
Opening your reliefs
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen.
- Tap Manage Items.
- Tap Reliefs.
Your reliefs are grouped into category cards, for example rest, physical, environment, mental, diet, device and vestibular exercises such as the Epley maneuver or Gaze stabilization. Tap a card's header to open it. There is a search box at the top.
Adding a relief
- Tap the + on the header of the category where it belongs.
- Type a Name, for example "Cold flannel on neck".
- Check the Category, and pick an icon if you like.
- Tap Add.
If Add looks faded, the name is still empty.
Renaming a relief
You cannot edit a name directly. Add the new one, then remove the old one.
Removing a relief
- Tap the trash icon on its row.
- Tap Delete in the box that asks Remove item?
If you remove the wrong one
Add it again with the same name.
A tip
Some people keep a short list of the three or four things that really help. Others keep a long list to try different things. Both are fine.
