Skipped meal is one of the triggers in VertigoMe's Diet category. Going a long time without food can leave some people light-headed or unsteady, and for people with vestibular migraine a missed meal is a commonly reported trigger.
What counts as a skipped meal
There is no strict rule. A useful guide:
- More than about 4 to 5 hours between meals during the day.
- Going overnight and into late morning without eating.
- Replacing a meal with just coffee or a sugary drink.
Logging it as a trigger
- Tap the Log tab.
- In Quick Log, tap the Trigger card.
- Under Which one?, pick Skipped meal (the search box helps).
- Set when it happened.
- Tap Log Trigger.
Adding it to a spin
- In Log Spin, go to the Triggers step.
- Tap Skipped meal so it is selected.
- Carry on through the steps as usual.
How VertigoMe helps
The app cannot tell on its own that you missed a meal, so logging Skipped meal yourself is what counts. Once you have logged it a few times, Insights can show whether it tends to come before your spins.
This is general information only.
