You do not need a smartwatch or a ring to use VertigoMe. The app works with just your phone.
What you can do with just the app
- Time and log every spin.
- Log triggers, prodromes, medicines and reliefs in a tap.
- Log food and keep an eye on your salt.
- See your daily risk gauge.
- Look back over your spins.
If you allow location, VertigoMe also fetches the weather for your area, including air pressure, without you typing anything.
How the risk gauge works without a wearable
With a wearable, the gauge can add things like sleep and heart rate variability. Without one, it relies more on what you log. Many common vertigo triggers, such as poor sleep, stress, salt and weather changes, are things you can tell the app about. The more you log, the more it learns your own pattern.
How to log
A spin
On the Home screen, tap Spin in the Quick log strip. A timer starts straight away. End it when the spin passes and add the details when you feel up to it.
For a full entry, open the Log tab and tap Log Spin.
The things around your spins
The Quick log strip on Home has Trigger, Prodrome, Medicine and Relief, and Headache if it applies to you. The Quick Log grid on the Log tab has more, including activities.
If you slept badly, log a poor sleep trigger. If you were stressed, log stress.
Food and salt
Open the Log tab and tap Food to search or scan what you ate. The sodium card on the Home screen shows how much salt you have had today.
Your day, in the evening
Tap Daily Check-In on the Log tab for a short review of your day. It walks you through a note about your day, then triggers, prodromes, medicines, reliefs and activities, so nothing slips through. You can type or speak.
A simple routine
- Morning: if you slept badly, log it.
- During the day: log food and anything that stood out.
- Evening: do the Daily Check-In.
- When a spin starts: tap Spin.
If logging feels like too much
You do not have to log everything. Logging only your spins is still useful.
