VertigoMe only knows two kinds of things about you:
- What you type, tap or say into the app.
- What you choose to switch on or connect, such as a wearable, Apple Health or Health Connect, your location for the weather, or phone signals like screen time.
The app does not look at anything you have not given it.
Things you log yourself
When you log a spin, VertigoMe stores:
- When it started and ended.
- How strong the spin was, and any headache, on the 1 to 10 scales.
- The symptoms, position at onset, triggers, prodromes, medicines, reliefs, places and activities you picked.
- Any notes you wrote or dictated.
It also keeps what you log on its own: quick logs, the Daily Check-In, food, and your questionnaire answers. You can see your entries in the Journal tab.
Your setup answers
During setup VertigoMe asks you questions, such as your vestibular subtype and how long your spins usually last. Your answers are stored. Your subtype shows on the Profile screen, and the AI Profile card there shows what the app has made of your answers.
Connected apps and devices
If you connect Apple Health, Health Connect, WHOOP, Oura, Polar or Garmin, VertigoMe stores the readings they send, such as sleep, heart rate, HRV and steps.
To see or remove connections, tap the gear icon at the top left, then Connections. To switch single measurements off, open Data and Notifications.
On iPhone, if Apple Health is connected, VertigoMe also writes your finished spins into Apple Health as Dizziness entries.
Signals from your phone
Each of these only works if you switched it on in Data and Notifications and allowed the matching phone permission:
- Screen time. Full screen time and phone unlocks are Android only. Both phones can track late-night screen time.
- Noise sampling. A loudness level only. No audio is recorded or stored.
- Phone brightness, volume and dark mode.
- Calendar events, so the Daily Check-In can offer them for one-tap tagging.
Your location, for the weather
If you allow location, VertigoMe checks roughly where you are so the app can fetch pressure, temperature, humidity and other weather for your area. Pressure changes matter to many people with vertigo. Your location is saved by day, so past weather can be matched to past spins. It is not shared, and you can switch it off at any time.
Eye recordings
Eye videos you record with the eye recorder stay on your phone only. They are not uploaded. You can share one with your clinician from the share sheet.
What VertigoMe does not look at
- Your contacts, texts or call log.
- Your photos, other than a profile picture or a photo you take or pick in the app.
- Your other apps or your browser history.
- Your bank or card details. Apple or Google handles payments.
Where to see everything
- Journal tab: your logged entries.
- Insights tab: what the app has found in your data.
If something looks wrong, you can edit or delete it.
