Deleting your account permanently

You can delete your VertigoMe account at any time. It takes about a minute and it is final.

Please read this article before you tap anything.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes everything linked to it, including:

There is no bin to restore from.

One account across our apps

Some of our other apps, such as TinnitusMe and AnxietyMe, use the same account system. If you signed in to one of them with the same details, it is the same account, and it is deleted too.

Before you delete

  1. Cancel your subscription if you have one. Apple and Google keep billing otherwise.
  1. Keep a copy if you might want it. Make a PDF with the Full Report (see Exporting your data), or email help@vertigome.com for a full copy first.
  2. Save any eye recordings you want to keep. They live on your phone, not in your account.

How to delete

The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.

  1. Tap the gear icon at the top left, then Profile.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account (in red).
  3. The screen says This cannot be undone.
  4. Type DELETE in the box. If the app is in another language, the word it asks for is shown above the box.
  5. Tap Delete permanently.

The app works for a few seconds, then signs you out and goes back to the sign-in screen.

If something goes wrong

If you see an error message instead:

  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. Close VertigoMe fully and open it again.
  3. Try once more from Profile.
  4. If it still fails, email help@vertigome.com from the address on your account and we will finish it for you.

Things that stay on your phone

Eye recordings and saved exercise films are kept on the phone, not in your account. Delete the app to remove them.

Changing your mind

Once the deletion has gone through, it cannot be reversed. You are welcome to sign up again later, but it will be a new, empty account.
