If you wear an Amazfit watch (GTR, GTS, Bip, T-Rex, Balance and others) or a Zepp watch, this guide is for you. They use the Zepp app on both iPhone and Android.
VertigoMe does not talk to these devices directly. Your device's app sends data to Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, and VertigoMe reads it from there.
On iPhone
Step 1: Make sure the app sends data to Apple Health
- Open the Zepp app and tap Profile.
- Find Apple Health (often under Settings or Apps).
- Turn on the categories you want to share: sleep, heart rate, steps, workouts.
- Tap Allow when Apple Health asks.
Step 2: Connect Apple Health in VertigoMe
- Open VertigoMe.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen. A drawer slides in from the left.
- Tap Connections.
- Find the Apple Health card at the top and tap Connect. If it already says Connected, skip ahead.
- A short VertigoMe note explains what will be read. Tap Continue.
- Apple's permission sheet slides up. Tap Turn On All, then Allow.
On Android
Step 1: Make sure Health Connect is on your phone
On newer Android phones Health Connect is built in. On older ones you may need to install it.
- Open the Play Store.
- Search for Health Connect.
- Tap Install if you see it. If you see Open, you already have it.
If the Health Connect card is missing from VertigoMe's Connections screen, Health Connect is not installed or not available on your phone yet.
Step 2: Make sure the app sends data to Health Connect
- Open the Zepp app and tap Profile.
- Find Health Connect (often under Third-party access).
- Tap Allow all.
Step 3: Connect Health Connect in VertigoMe
- Open VertigoMe.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen. A drawer slides in from the left.
- Tap Connections.
- Find the Health Connect card at the top and tap Connect. If it already says Connected, skip ahead.
- A short VertigoMe note explains what will be read. Tap Continue.
- The Health Connect permission screen appears. Tap Allow all, then Allow.
Check that it is working
Open the Monitor tab and look at the Sleep and Physical Health cards. On iPhone, VertigoMe reads Apple Health from the day you connect (sleep from the last week). On Android, it looks back over the last 14 days the first time.
Troubleshooting
"Heart rate gaps"
In the Zepp app, turn on continuous heart rate monitoring for your watch. It is often off by default to save battery.
"Sleep is missing"
Wear the watch overnight with automatic sleep detection on, then let the Zepp app sync in the morning.
