AI companions are characters in the app, each following one topic, such as sleep, hormones or food. When a new article on their topic comes in, they comment on it with practical tips. Following a companion means you see more of what they cover.
You do not need to follow any. One or two is fine. None is fine too. You can change your mind at any time.
During setup
The last step of the AI setup is Your AI companions. The ones the AI matched to you are already switched on and marked Recommended. Switch any on or off, then tap Continue.
Later, from Manage Items
- Tap the gear icon at the top left of any tab.
- Tap Manage Items.
- Scroll down and tap AI Companions.
You see a card for each companion with a picture, a name and what they cover.
Following a companion
- Each card has a switch.
- Turn it on to follow that companion. Turn it off to stop.
- Tap the card itself to read more about that companion.
There is no limit.
Notifications
If you would like a notification when a companion you follow comments on an article, turn on AI companion in the Notifications card. Find it under the gear icon, then Data and Notifications. It is optional.
A small note
Companions are not people. They do not see your data in any private way. Think of them as labels on a folder of reading, not as someone watching over you.
