After the timing, the description and the spin rating, the full spin log walks you through a set of short pages. Each one is optional. Tap Next without choosing anything to skip it.
These steps are the same on iPhone and Android.
How the pages work
Most pages look alike:
- A title at the top with a short explanation.
- A Manage → link that opens your list for that page, where you can add your own items or star favourites.
- A search box.
- Your favourites first under Frequent, then the rest grouped by category.
- Tap an item to pick it. Picked items move to a Selected card at the top. Tap the cross on a selected item to remove it.
- Next at the bottom moves on. The back label at the top left takes you to the previous page.
When the spin has a start time, triggers, prodromes, activities and missed activities you already logged within three days of it are ticked for you. You can untick any of them.
Symptoms
What you are experiencing. The page has two cards:
- Position when it started: for example Lying flat on back, Rolling over in bed, Turning head left or Looking up. Tap to pick, tap again to unpick.
- Accompanying experience: everything that came with the spin, such as nausea, vomiting, ear fullness, brain fog or blurred vision.
When you pick an accompanying symptom, a small sheet asks How bad was it? with Mild, Moderate and Severe. You can add a time, or skip rating it. Picking Aura opens a sheet where you mark where in your vision it appeared and how long it lasted. Picking Tinnitus louder opens a sheet asking which ear, what it sounded like (ringing, buzzing, roaring, hissing or pulsating) and how long it lasted.
Prodromes
Warning signs you noticed in the hours or days before the spin. For example ear fullness, an off-balance feeling, visual motion sensitivity or brain fog.
Triggers
What may have contributed. For example poor sleep, a salty meal, stress, alcohol or a sudden head turn. Pick all that apply.
Medicines
What you took during or after the spin. For each medicine you can:
- Mark it as a rescue medicine with Mark rescue.
- Enter an Amount.
- Set When did you take it?
- Choose How much relief? it gave.
- Note any side effects.
Reliefs
What helped during recovery, such as lying still with your head fixed, a dark quiet room or slow breathing. For each one you can set when you started and stopped, how much it helped, and any side effects.
Where were you?
Where you were when the spin happened. For example home, work, a car or a supermarket. This helps spot patterns in your surroundings.
Activities
What you were doing. For example working, driving, scrolling on your phone or exercising. You can add a start and end time for each.
Postdrome
Recovery symptoms that lingered after the spin ended. For example lingering imbalance, residual dizziness, tiredness or sensitivity to head movement.
Missed activities
What you had to skip or postpone. For example work, driving, social plans or exercise. This is useful for showing your ENT or neurologist the real impact of your spins.
Notes
A free text box for anything else. You can type or use the Voice button. If you wrote something on Paint the picture, it is already here.
Next
After Notes comes the Review page, where you check everything and save. It has its own article.
You can hide pages you never use, or change their order. See the article on customising the log pages.
