Logging a headache and using the head diagram

Some vestibular conditions, especially vestibular migraine, can bring head pain with or around a spin. VertigoMe lets you rate a headache and mark where it hurts on a head diagram.

When you will see this

The Headache page, the Headache card in Quick Log and the Headache button on Home appear if your subtype includes vestibular migraine or PPPD, or if you have not chosen a subtype. For other subtypes they are hidden by default. To turn the page on yourself, go to the Log tab, tap the pencil on the Log Spin card (Customize log pages) and show Headache.

Quick ways to log a headache

In the full Log Spin guide

  1. Tap Log Spin on the Log tab and step through with Next.
  2. The Headache page asks Did your head hurt? Rate it and mark where. Skip if there was no headache.
  3. Tap + Add headache entry.

Rating the pain

The slider runs from None (0) to Severe (10). It starts at 5. Drag the dot, or tap on the bar, until the big number matches how it felt.

Marking where it hurts

  1. Under Where did you feel the pain? you see Tap the dots on the head to mark where it hurts.
  2. Two buttons switch the view: Front and Back.
  3. Tap any dot that matches. It changes colour, a line shows how many areas you picked (for example 2 areas selected), and each one appears as a small label such as Left Temple.
  4. Tap a dot again, or the label, to remove it.
  5. Switch to Back for the back of the head, neck and shoulders. Your front choices are kept.

If the pain moved or changed

Add another headache entry with its own time, severity and spots. Under the entries you can also set when the headache ended. Otherwise it ends with the spin.

If a dot is hard to tap

Turn your screen brightness up, tap with the pad of your finger, and make sure your finger is dry. The dots have a generous tap area, so roughly in the right place works.
