Restoring a purchase

If you got a new phone, reinstalled the app or signed back in, your Premium might not show straight away. The fix is Restore purchases.

What restore does

Restore purchases asks Apple or Google whether your store account already pays for VertigoMe Premium. If it does, Premium turns back on. Nothing is charged and no new subscription is made.

You may need it after:

If you are on the free trial, you do not need it.

Before you start

Check two things:

How to restore

The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.

  1. Open VertigoMe.
  2. Tap the gear icon at the top left, then Profile.
  3. On the card under your name, tap Upgrade. This opens the VertigoMe Premium screen, which is where restore lives.
  4. Scroll down and tap Restore purchases.
  5. Wait a few seconds.
  6. If your subscription is found, a message says Premium restored and Your subscription is active again.

If the message says Nothing to restore and No active subscription was found on this account., work through the list below.

If restore does not bring Premium back

  1. Check both accounts. The VertigoMe account and the Apple ID or Google account must be the ones you used when you paid.
  2. Wait a minute and try again.
  3. Close the app fully, open it again and repeat.
  4. Check the subscription is still active in your store subscriptions. See the cancelling articles for where to look. You can view a subscription without cancelling it.
  5. If you used a promo code, it gave you a set number of days. When those run out there is nothing to restore.
