The app is stuck on the loading screen, what do I do?

The simplest fix is to force-close VertigoMe and open it again. Most of the time that is enough. If it is not, the steps below will get you going.

Start with Step 1. Stop as soon as the app opens.

Is it the "Your health data" screen?

If the screen says Your health data, the app is not stuck. Read it, tick the box to agree and tap Continue. Tapping Not now signs you out.

Step 1: Wait a little longer

The app can be slow to start the first time after you install or update it. If something is loading, give it sixty seconds.

Step 2: Force-close VertigoMe and open it again

On iPhone

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle.
  2. Find the VertigoMe card and swipe it up off the screen.
  3. Tap the VertigoMe icon to open it again.

On Android

  1. Tap the square button at the bottom (or swipe up and hold).
  2. Find VertigoMe and swipe it away.
  3. Tap the VertigoMe icon to open it again.

Step 3: Check your internet

VertigoMe needs the internet to load your data.

  1. Open another app that needs the internet, such as your web browser.
  2. If that does not load either, connect to Wi-Fi or move somewhere with signal, then try VertigoMe again.

Step 4: Check that VertigoMe is up to date

On iPhone

  1. Open the App Store and tap your profile picture in the top right.
  2. Scroll down. If VertigoMe shows Update, tap it.

On Android

  1. Open Google Play and tap your profile picture in the top right.
  2. Tap Manage apps & device, then Updates available.
  3. If VertigoMe is in the list, tap Update.

Step 5: Restart your phone

On iPhone

  1. Press and hold the side button and either volume button until slide to power off appears.
  2. Slide to power off.
  3. Wait about thirty seconds.
  4. Press the side button to turn it back on.

On Android

  1. Press and hold the power button.
  2. Tap Restart. If you only see Power off, tap it, wait a minute, then press the power button again.

Step 6: Sign out and back in

If the app gets far enough to show the gear icon, try this.

  1. Open VertigoMe.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top-left of the screen. The Settings drawer slides in from the left.
  3. Tap Logout.
  4. Sign back in the same way you signed up (email, Apple, Google or Facebook).

If you cannot get that far, go to Step 7.

Step 7: Reinstall VertigoMe

Your spins and settings are stored in your VertigoMe account, so deleting the app does not delete them.

  1. Press and hold the VertigoMe icon.
  2. Tap Delete app (iPhone) or Uninstall (Android).
  3. Open the App Store or Google Play, search for VertigoMe and install it again.
  4. Sign in with the same account you used before.

Step 8: Free up storage on your phone

If your phone is almost full, apps can get stuck.

On iPhone

Open Settings, tap General, then iPhone Storage. If you have less than a gigabyte free, delete some photos or apps you no longer use.

On Android

Open Settings and tap Storage (on Samsung, Device care, then Storage). If it is almost full, free some space.
